  • Responsible for integration of portal system with identity management infrastructure. Designed and implemented clinical data integration via web services.

  • Provided architectural and project management expertise to the CareWeb/C.I.S. Project Office, as UMHS embarked on a project to extend an existing Clinical Data Repository CDR and an intranet based electronic health record application CareWebto include a comprehensive Clinical Information System including Physician Order Entry (POE)

  • Lead Consulting Engineer for Patient Portal System Acquisition. Responsible for a RFP development, provided leadership to a team of system engineers, overall responsibility for the technology assessment and technical recommendation of a Patient Portal with a budget of 1.3M.

  • Lead Consulting Engineer for Context Management System Acquisition. Responsible for a RFP development, provided leadership to a team of system engineers, overall responsibility for the technology assessment and technical recommendation of an Enterprise Context Management System with a budget of 2M.

  • Lead Consulting Engineer for a CPOE System Acquisition. Responsible for the technology section development of the RFP and provided leadership to a large team of system engineers during an extended (18 month) technology assessment.

  • Project Manager for the Provider Index project: entails the creation of an authoritative Provider Index including deployment of EMPI infrastructure. Responsible for a development budget of 1.1M.

  • Project Manager for C.I.S. Proof of Concept Project: responsible for the project's charter, planning, coordination , tracking and delivery. I directed the activities of 7 sub-project team leaders and as well as the 70 member development team. Advocated an investment in a Proof of Concept (POC) Project prior to the initiation of the construction process for the CareWeb/C.I.S. The project's purpose was to isolate and mitigate risk associated with the technology architecture as well as to calibrate the joint (UM and IBM) development team

  • Chaired the CI.S Architecture Team, a multi-disciplinary team of architects, developers, and clinicians responsible for validating project deliverables and generating architectural and design issue resolution strategies.
